$100.00=> A four week, 16 class introduction to Karate
Classes start at 5:30 P.M. Monday thru Thursday.
You can get a great jump-start on learning this ancient art. The classes are organized around getting you quickly past the mundane basics so that at the end of a month of study you can join a regular scheduled class without being the new student on the block. Our experienced instructors will quickly step you through the initial learning phase to the more interesting skills. For $100.00 you can earn up to two rank steps towards your black belt. Normally, this level is only achieved after 3-4 months of study.
FAQ's
How old do you have to be to start summer session?
Students are accepted at any age, but anyone under ten must have an adult family member studying in the same class.
Do I need to buy a GI (Karate Uniform)?
We waive the requirement of a karate ‘gi’ (uniform) for summer session. Just wear loose comfortable clothes -- tee shirt with shorts or sweat pants -- but no jewelry, excepting wedding rings in class. If you wish to continue studying after the introductory course, a gi will be required. We keep some on hand and sell them at cost.
What do I learn?
The basics of traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu Karate. Assuming you attend all classes you will be comfortable thereafter in coming to and training with a regular class containing students of all ranks.
Who teaches Summer sessions?
We have experience black belt instructors (15+ years) for each class. All instructors are third degree black belt or higher.
